AMI President Search

Wednesday 16th June 2021

Our AMI President, Philip O’Brien is coming to the end of his term of office, having served AMI in a variety of capacities over the past decade and, since 2014, as President of the Association. His inspirational leadership has enabled AMI to be strategically prepared to meet the global challenges of our time and to bring the work, first initiated by our founder, Maria Montessori, to more children, young adults, families, communities and countries.

AMI is pleased to announce that we are undertaking a global search for the next person to hold the prestigious office of President of the Association Montessori Internationale. As the 10th president since 1929, the next AMI President will play a key role in strategically guiding AMI’s humanitarian and educational work in order to extend the global impact of Montessori education in enhancing the lives of children, youth, adults and elders across countries, cultures and all socio-economic levels.

AMI is seeking applications from interested individuals who match the attached profile. Candidates are welcome to submit their applications (CV and supporting statement) directly to AMI at [email protected].  AMI members, Affiliated Societies and AMI Training Centres may also nominate candidates for this position by contacting AMI at [email protected]. When nominating candidates, please provide your own contact details and attach the supporting statement and CV from the candidate. Applications must be submitted by 30 September 2021. Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed by a selection panel of the AMI Board in the latter part of the year.
