Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) an International educational organisation with offices in the South of Amsterdam (Vondel park area) is searching for a versatile and accurate Communications and Branding Team Leader for 37.5 hours per week. Starting date: As soon as possible.

The person we are looking for will be responsible for ensuring that content of all AMI communications is in keeping with the AMI brand and is consistent and user focused, and in line with AMI’s strategic communications direction. This includes having an oversight of content across newsletters, social media channels, digital publications and working with colleagues to ensure this is consistent with content on the AMI website.  

As well as producing communications, you will also safeguard the brand, maintaining suitable guidelines for others to use, ensuring AMI presents itself as a unique and distinct brand. As team leader for communications, you will coordinate the work of communications colleagues, and work with the strategic communications consultant to deliver on the AMI communications strategy.

Responsibilities 

1. To ensure that content produced for AMI channels is consistent, engaging and user focused. 

You will do this through: 

  • Coordinating content production for AMI channels, including management of the AMI content calendar and scheduling.
  • Maintaining and updating AMI branding guidelines, ensuring AMI key stakeholders are aware of what is required when using the AMI brand.
  • Working with AMI colleagues who have responsibility for the AMI main website, to oversee   design, branding and content, to ensure all AMI digital properties are brand consistent and user focused.

2. To manage all AMI social media channels.

You will:

  • Produce content suitable for each of AMI’s channels
  • Advise others on the suitability of content for each channel
  • Manage and execute communications campaigns across social channels
  • Coordinate and advise colleagues producing social content for channels, e.g. Montessori for Dementia and Ageing.
  • Monitor the AMI channels regularly, producing quarterly measurement reports on the performance of content across each channel.
  • Direct the work of an AMI communications intern on content creation and execution.

3. To oversee AMI digital communications and publications.

You will: 

  • Produce AMI newsletters (external, membership and internal to partner organisations, training centres) and advise colleagues on stakeholder specific communications where necessary.
  • Be responsible for the production and design of the Annual Report, as well as overseeing the design and branding of AMI digital publications  to ensure they are consistent with AMI brand and messaging guidelines.
  • Develop digital content to support AMI profile raising campaigns, for example, the Convention on the Rights of the Child.
  • Manage and update content for our special website dedicated to the work of Educateurs sans Frontières.

Key Qualities

  • A native or Cambridge level C2 English speaker with fluency in English speaking and writing
  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • A professional qualification in communications, digital or marketing is preferred
