Listed 18 January 2023Montessori Children’s House is seeking an experienced educator for our beautiful purpose built community-based centre in Wanaka.
Key task and responsibilities for the role include:
- The delivery of quality Montessori based on observation and a deep understanding of the philosophy.
- Practices that reflect a commitment to biculturalism, the unique place of Maori as tangata whenua and the principle of partnership inherent in te tiriti o Waitangi.
- Collaborating with the teaching team respectfully, inspiring, training, and setting and upholding the standards of our class culture.
- Establishing and maintaining open and collaborative relationships with whanau.
- Completing administrative requirements in a professional manner including planning, assessment and internal evaluation.
This is a full-time permanent position.
The successful candidate will require a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role. An AMI (Association Montessori Internationale) 2½-6 Diploma is required.
Applicants must have, or be able to gain New Zealand teacher registration. A valid work visa would be advantageous.
