Established in 1982, the Montessori Training Centre of BC (MTCBC) has been providing AMI Teacher Training and Professional Development to Domestic and International Students pursuing their AMI Montessori Teaching Certification.

The MTCBC is one of two AMI training centres in Canada, distinguishing itself as being one of very few AMI training centres offering dual certification (AMI/ECE), making our training programs very attractive.

The MTCBC as a registered not for profit charitable organization in Canada, is seeking an  Executive Director who will report directly to the Montessori Training Centre of BC’s Board of Directors, and will be responsible for the successful leadership and management of the Montessori Training Centre of BC according to the strategic direction set by the Board of Directors.

Qualifications:

Education

• University degree
• AMI Teacher Diploma(s)
• Business Administration training

Work Experience

• Three or more years experience as a Montessori teacher
• Business or school administration experience
• Change management experience
• Leadership experience

Working Conditions

• The Executive Director will be based in the Greater Vancouver Area and is able to work on site a minimum of three days/week. The Executive Director may create a hybrid work schedule.
• The Executive Director will have a unique opportunity to transition into the role alongside the current Executive Director, who will offer administrative support and consultation.
