Training Centre Manager

Sydney Montessori Training Centre (SMTC), located in Sydney Australia, seeks a highly skilled Training Centre Manager. The successful candidate will organise, manage and direct day-to-day operations and be responsible for ensuring SMTC runs efficiently. This is an exciting opportunity to join SMTC in a growth phase with opportunities for new projects and challenges; to play a pivotal role in the future success of this not-for-profit organisation; to work closely with the Board in ensuring sufficient high-quality Montessori teacher and adult training (AMI) in Australia.

Responsibilities include:

  • Timely, high quality communications with all stakeholders;
  • Leading delivery of new projects;
  • Implementation of new office systems and processes;
  • Administration, premises and planning aspects of courses including supporting AMI trainers in all logistics, administrative, contractual, regulatory and record-keeping functions;
  • Scheduling and budgeting, student enrolments, all other documentation required for course administration;
  • Involvement in planning marketing strategy and responsibility for its execution.

A strong commitment to education and enthusiasm to embrace Montessori philosophy is required with willingness to develop a deep understanding of the Montessori method; including undertaking or having undertaken AMI courses (minimum 60 hours). Experience in the education or not-for-profit sectors is desirable but not essential.
