Breakthrough Montessori Public Charter School is hiring Montessori teachers for our Primary and Elementary classrooms for SY24-25. Our school is located in Washington, DC, and serves children ages 3 to 13. Our mission is to enable children to develop within themselves the power to shape their lives and the world around them. At Breakthrough, we believe in the unbounded potential of all children. Students of all races, classes, genders, sexual orientations, abilities, and backgrounds deserve a personalized education.

Requirements

• Bachelor‘s degree in applicable field required
• AMI or AMS Montessori diploma required
• Montessori classroom teaching experience, preferably in a public school setting
• -Experience collaborating and working as a teacher
• Experience utilizing classroom modifications to develop the full potential of each child
• Experience with families from diverse backgrounds
• A team player committed to professional and personal growth
• Takes ownership of working towards children’s progress
