Alamiyah School is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and attentive lead Montessori teacher to lead an Elementary Class spanning ages 7 - 11.

This is a rare opportunity to join an innovative and unique Montessori School with a Muslim Faith Ethos, to drive forward the learning needs of the pupils.

The successful candidate will:

• Successfully engage each individual pupil through the employment of a Montessori pedagogy
• Respond to the needs of the children through a positive approach to discipline
• Committed to the Muslim faith ethos and Montessori approach at Alamiyah
• An inspirational class leader capable of delivering the SMSC curriculum to a wide age range
• Willing to engage in CPD training
• Passionate about furthering the aims and objectives of the school

Main Duties:

• Preparing a Montessori environment suitable for the elementary child aged 7 - 11
• Planning for each pupil individually using the Alamiyah teacher planning formats
• Presenting Montessori individual and group lessons during the morning workcycle
• Performing observations and assessments
• Overseeing pupils during the Montessori workcycle
• Maintaining assessment records and tracking pupil progress
• Writing reports and providing feedback to parents and to the headteacher
• Providing care to pupils including outdoor play and lunch supervision
• Maintaining a tidy and organized learning environment
