New Affiliated Training Centre: University of Vic-Central University of Catalonia
We are excited to announce that The University of Vic-Central University of Catalonia (UVic-UCC) is now an affiliated training centre of AMI.
UVic is a non-profit private higher education institution located in Vic, Catalonia, Spain.
The university has a long history of offering teacher training degrees, with a focus on primary and early years education for the past 50 years. It now also provides different educational master’s degrees. Since 2013, the university has been offering the Máster Universitario en Pedagogía Montessori (0-6 años), which provides students with an AMI qualification. The master’s programme takes place in the Infant Education Training and Research Laboratory at UVic, which has Montessori-based classrooms and simulated environments to ensure that students receive comprehensive training and practice.
The teaching and learning expertise of the UVic professors in pedagogy, psychology, general didactics, and sociology, together with the experience of the Montessori guide training experts has positioned the university in a standing place in the Times High Education Young University Ranking.
