The Montessori Association Georgia’s mission is to promote authentic Montessori education in accordance with the educational philosophy of Dr. Maria Montessori and the international standards established by AMI. The history of Montessori education in Georgia dates back almost a century. Its development began in the early 1920s, when Lola Kondulmari, a student of Dr. Maria Montessori, introduced the Montessori Method to Georgian educators, laying the foundation for its first implementation in the country. Today, the Association supports the development of authentic Montessori education through teacher education, continuous professional development, collaboration with educational institutions, and public awareness initiatives. Working closely with government bodies, universities, and international partners, Montessori Association Georgia is committed to strengthening a sustainable Montessori community and ensuring that children in Georgia have access to high-quality Montessori education.
