Avon Montessori Academy is seeking an experienced Elementary Montessori Guide to join our amazing team of teachers and wonderful school community! AMA is a growing private school with seven classrooms serving children from 18 months through Elementary. Our mission is to cultivate and inspire each individual within our school community to excel as lifetime scholars, creative thinkers, and responsible citizens. Position/Classroom Details:

• Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 – 4:30
• Ample lesson planning/prep time
• Charming classroom with library, kitchenette, and teacher storage space
• Well-equipped array of furniture and materials
• Substantial budget for class field trips and going outs
• Substantial budget for materials and classroom purchases

Ideal Candidates:

• Have their Montessori Elementary Credential (I or I & II)
• Have at least 2 years experience in a Montessori classroom
• Are a responsible, dependable, capable, and flexible team player
• Enjoy working as part of a like-minded team, contributing their gifts toward the advancement of the whole
• Value working in partnership with parents
• Possess good communication skills, orally and written
• Have a deep passion for working with young children and contributing to their growth and development
