International Day of Education

It’s a pleasure to celebrate the United Nations International Day of Education (24 January) with some thoughts from our Executive Director Lynne Lawrence. The day was adopted in 2018 to reflect the role of education for peace and development.
AMI strongly supports the ambition to strengthen international cooperation in support of SDG4 and transformative actions for inclusive, equitable and quality education for all. Our thoughts are particularly with those whose education is threatened or disrupted by violence, economics, politics or social constraints. Best wishes to UNESCO and all the educators, institutions and organisations involved in the day.
