Toyama Montessori International School, Takaoka

We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic and flexible guide to add to our team. Our ideal candidate has an AMI 3-6 and Elementary diploma and three years of experience in a Montessori environment.

Responsibilities:

• Guiding either the 3-6 class or 6-9 class
• Developing and implementing child-led learning experiences
• Observing, documenting, and assessing children’s progress
• Communicating regularly with parents about their child’s development
• Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM
• Collaborating with colleagues to foster a supportive and nurturing learning environment

Job Requirements

• AMI or equivalent certification in the appropriate age range or 3 years’ experience, teaching this age range in a Montessori environment. 
• A bachelor’s degree or above
• Native or near-native level of English 
• A love for nature and the outdoors, as the role involves outdoor activities regardless of most weather conditions

The candidate has the ability to understand and work with a diverse range of learning styles. The applicant can communicate effectively, has strong organizational skills, and build positive relationships with students, families, and coworkers.
