Joliet Montessori School has been serving children ages 2.5-15 and their families since 1966! Our deeply rooted school was founded by a group of passionate founding families who were attracted to and believed in this new teaching method in the mid-sixties, when Montessori education was beginning to gain recognition. The spirit of those families continues to breathe life into JMS as second and third-generation families enroll their children to keep this iconic legacy alive.

We are seeking an experienced and energetic educator to join our faculty as an Upper Elementary Guide in our Elementary program, working with children ages 9-12 in the 2026-2027 school year. Our lovely upper elementary guide is moving on to retirement at the end of this school year and is willing to mentor the next lead as she passes the baton.
