Head Teacher – Montessori School (Castel Giorgio, Italy)

We are starting a small Montessori school in the Italian countryside and are seeking an experienced and inspiring Head Teacher to join us from September.

Our school is located in Castel Giorgio, surrounded by nature, and is built around a strong belief in outdoor learning. Children will spend several hours each day outside, engaging with the natural environment as an integral part of their education.

The Role
The Head Teacher will play a central role in shaping the vision, culture, and daily life of the school. This is a unique opportunity to help build a new school from the ground up, combining high-quality Montessori practice with a deep connection to nature.

The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:

• Has several years of experience as a Head Teacher
• Holds a strong understanding of Montessori philosophy and pedagogy
• Enjoys working outdoors and values nature-based learning
• Is confident leading a team and supporting teachers in their professional growth
• Is fluent in both English and Italian
• Is enthusiastic, warm, and committed to creating a nurturing school community
