2018 EsF Assembly, South Africa

Thursday 5th April 2018

From 4-18 August 2018, educators from around the world will gather in South Africa for two weeks, to revisit Montessori principles and practices in order to find innovative solutions and build sustainable initiatives for underserved communities. Eminent speakers will present their work with an aim to deepen individual and collective understanding of essential Montessori principles and practice through reflection and exchange.

The Assembly will be held at the Sustainability Institute, located in the beautiful university town Stellenbosch. This gathering will present a unique opportunity to explore the link between Montessori education and sustainable development, with a focus on community engagement to support the transition to equitable and thriving futures for all. Strengthening Communities for a Sustainable Future will therefore be the guiding theme of the Assembly.
