Montessori Education for Climate Action: Perspectives from Kenya & Norway

World Environmental Day, celebrated on 5 June, promotes global environmental awareness and action. During our AGM presentations on the theme of sustainability we heard a great talk by Francescah Kipsoi from Montessori for Kenya and Nina Johansen from Montessori Norge who highlighted how Montessori education supports climate action in Kenya and Norway. Montessori principles, emphasizing hands-on learning and environmental stewardship, nurture environmentally conscious individuals essential for sustainable development.
 
Their collaboration highlights the importance of international efforts in addressing climate change through education. Montessori education for climate action aligns with World Environmental Day's objectives by promoting environmental awareness and equipping future generations to protect our planet.
