Eder Cuevas, Executive Director of Montessori Mexico and Director of Development of Montessori de Chihuahua School, has an article featued in The Blue Dot magazine, published by UNESCO's Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Education for Peace and Sustainable Development which focuses on the relationship between education, peace, sustainable development and global citizenship.

His article, entitled "The Renewed Significance of New School Approaches in the Post-COVID-19 World" shares the evolution of Montessori de Chihuahua School, the first Montessori school in Mexico, and looks at how COVID presents an opportunity for change and adaptation towards a new kind of school.

"It is time to de-school education, free the school from curricular constraints and empower it to be a laboratory of life that provides a prepared environment which is a Montessori concept meaning that the environment can be designed to facilitate maximum independent learning and exploration by the child and adolescent, therefore that skills and challenges converge, organising experiences that lead to knowledge."

His article can be found on page 47 of The Blue Dot Issue 12, 2020 magazine.
