School Approaches to Sustainable Development

Arjen Wals is Professor of Transformative Learning for Socio-Ecological Sustainability at Wageningen University and holds the UNESCO Chair of Social Learning and Sustainable Development. His latest studies explore different ways to advance transformative social learning among key coalitions of stakeholders at the intersection of science and society. He is dedicated to design learning processes and environments that help individuals contribute to sustainability. Central to his research is exploring how to create conditions for new forms of learning while leveraging the diverse potential around us.
