Stefano Cucurachi

Stefano Cucurachi, Associate Professor of Industrial Ecology at Leiden University, is an expert in sustainability assessment and quantitative sustainability assessment methods, particularly in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA). With a research background at esteemed institutions like ETH Zurich and the Bren School of Environmental Science at UCSB, Stefano returned to Leiden University in 2017, directing his focus towards forward-looking LCA applications for emerging technologies. 

Currently at the helm of the Master's in Industrial Ecology at Leiden and Delft Universities, Stefano is driven by a deep passion for sustainability education. His overarching mission is to inspire and equip the next generation of experts to tackle global challenges head-on. Stefano's research spans diverse areas, including sustainability assessments for solar cells, disruptive technologies, and circular business models. Stefano brings a unique perspective and a commitment to driving innovation in higher education.
